Yes, the dogs are gone. And I miss them! I don't miss the smell. Just the sound of them barking when their owner came home. It always cracked me up. Now it is so quiet. Amazing the sounds you get used to.
I guess someone called the health department about the smell coming from the backyard. Now it wasn't me! Remember, I can't smell anything! I came home from the store one day and saw a notice that the health department had been there. Nothing happened for a few weeks. Guess he wasn't home when they got there. But about a week ago, I came home and the SPCA was there talking with him outside. I knew it was the end for him. LOL This past weekend, they left. He told my husband he weaseled his way into getting them a new home on a farm.
Now, my mind wonders....what does that house look like inside? Hope he cleaned up! The broken (cracked) windows I mentioned in previous posts? Still cracked. They were never fixed.

I call one of my neighbors "cat lady". She's got several cats, although city ordinance is 3 pets. They wonder (and tear my stuff up as I've stated MANY times) and get pregnant, then she keeps the kittens until they die or run away. Now she's also got 2 adult dogs and didnt' take long to realize one was pregnant. It had 6 puppies. She still has those too!! REMEMBER, 3 is the limit!! Of course, they can't be registered with the city because they'd be fixed if they were...another LAW!!
