Happy, happy, joy, joy!! We started the 31st of Aug. and aready have vacation. What about that, huh? LOL May as well have waited to go back until after Labor Day. Interestingly enough, we aren't getting out any earlier which is ridiculous. Doesn't look like there's any more vacation days than usual, but there seems to be lots more days off for "Teacher In-Service" days. If anyone knows exactly what that is, could you please explain it to me.

No idea what it could be. I know that we're supposed to homeschool for 180 days here because that's what a typical school year is supposed to be. Notice, I said "supposed to be". However, if you check the local school district calender, they're short by several days. Haven't been able to ahere to a rule that public school doesn't have to. I do it though. I schedule exactly 180 days and no more!! LOL
